2021-2023 NCAGT Board of Directors
The NCAGT Board provides leadership, a sense of mission, and responsibility for the fiscal health of the Association. The NCAGT Board of Directors is comprised of twelve directors, elected for terms of two years. There are four regularly scheduled meetings: March (one day at NCAGT Conference, June (one Saturday), September/October (one Saturday), and January (one Saturday).
The current NCAGT Bylaws read:
Election: One half of the Board members will be elected annually for a term of two years…Nominees will be elected from three categories: Parent/Caregiver, Teacher, and Other Educator. The single nominee receiving the highest number of votes in each of the three categories, and three other nominees receiving the highest number of votes regardless of category, will comprise the six new Directors elected annually.
Instructions to Nominator
- Please nominate by categories with consideration given to the nominee’s primary area of involvement with gifted children. Current vacancies include categories of Teacher, Other Educator (school administrator or college instructor), and Parent/Caregiver.
- Nominate as many persons as you wish (with their agreement), including yourself.
Instructions to Nominee
- Provide biographical/experience information of no more than 75 words. This portion may be edited by the Executive Director to meet space limitations.
- Submit a statement (one written page) explaining why you wish to serve on the Board. Your written statement should emphasize your primary area of involvement with gifted children and match the category in which you wish to run.
- Indicate the number of years you have been a member of NCAGT. Please note: You must have been a member of NCAGT for at least one year to be eligible to run for the board.
- Include your address, phone number, e-mail address, and a photograph.

DEADLINE: Applications must be postmarked no later than, Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
